Due to severe weather the BATS December 18th meeting & holiday get-together is cancelled.

Festival of Trees — A Great Success!

A BIG THANK YOU to all who took part in the O’Tannenbaum - A Festival of Trees benefit for the Library Building Fund.  The Friends of the Library and the GFWC Bennington Women’s Club’s partnership in this endeavor resulted in net proceeds of over $4,300.  In addition to the proceeds raised for the building fund, a generous $1,000 donation for the purchase of new books for the library was received from Wal-Mart (168th/Maple store).  Volunteers from the Friends of the Library and Women’s Club as well as the many tree sponsors worked countless hours to make the event a reality.  Thank you ladies and gentlemen for all your precious time and hard work.  Everyone who attended enjoyed the wonderful sights and sounds of Christmas through the decorated trees, shopping bargains from Grandma’s Attic, great prizes won in the raffle, pictures with Santa, yummy treats from the bake sale sweet shoppe, and the consumption of scrumptiously satifying chili, soup and desserts from the kitchen.
